ACT Prep

Raise your child's ACT score with 1-on-1 prep

Section-by-section strategy, score tracking every session, and a written report to parents after every lesson. $110/hr online, no contracts.

WHAT WE OFFER

Every section your student takes. A plan that fits.

The ACT rewards students who understand what each section is actually testing. We build that understanding — and the speed to use it under timed conditions.

📚

Core Sections + Optional Science

English, Math, and Reading — the sections behind the Composite — plus optional Science for STEM-focused students. We diagnose which sections have the most room to grow and focus there first.

⏱️

Timing Strategies

The ACT is fast. We build section-specific pacing strategies so your student isn't burning time on the wrong questions.

📈

Score Tracking

We track composite and section scores every session. Projected trajectories show where your student is headed and what's moving the needle.

📅

Flexible Scheduling

Book sessions when they work — evenings, weekends, or whenever. No fixed class times, no cohort pacing.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps to a higher ACT score

1

Book a Free Consultation

Tell us your student's target score and test date. We'll set realistic expectations based on where they're starting.

2

Get a Section-by-Section Plan

Your tutor runs a diagnostic and builds a prep plan around the sections with the most upside — not a generic curriculum.

3

Track Progress Every Session

Parents receive a written report after every lesson. Score trajectories are updated each session so you always know where things stand.

WHY ZKTUTORS

What parents deal with elsewhere — and how we're different

ACT prep is a big investment. Most platforms make it harder than it needs to be — hidden pricing, subscription traps, and no visibility into what your child is actually learning.

Most test prep companies

  • Require a sales call before showing pricing
  • Lock you into $5,000–7,500 packages
  • No session-by-session reports to parents
  • No idea who's actually teaching your child

ZKtutors

  • $110/hr online — published
  • Pay per session or save with packages, no lock-in
  • Written report with score tracking after every session
  • Every session taught by the founder — a former university instructor

FAQ

Common questions

Should my student take the ACT or the SAT?

It depends on your student's strengths. The ACT is faster-paced and more straightforward in its questions, with an optional Science section for students who want to showcase STEM skills. The SAT rewards strategy and process-of-elimination skills. We can help you figure out which test is the better fit based on a diagnostic.

How is ACT tutoring different from SAT tutoring?

The ACT's required sections are English, Math, and Reading — your Composite score is the average of those three. Science and Writing are optional add-ons. Timing is tighter than the SAT, so a big part of ACT prep is building speed and section-specific strategy, not just content knowledge.

How much does ACT tutoring cost?

ACT prep tutoring is $110/hr online. No subscriptions or required packages.

How much can my student improve their ACT score?

Most students who complete a structured prep plan see 2–5 composite point improvements. We track scores session by session so you always know where you stand and what's moving the needle.

My student struggles with the Science section — can you help?

Yes. Science is now an optional ACT section — it doesn't affect the Composite, but it produces its own score and a STEM score (Science + Math) that strengthens STEM-focused applications. It's less about science knowledge and more about reading graphs and interpreting data, which makes it very teachable.

How far in advance should we start ACT prep?

Ideally 3–4 months before test day. That gives time for a diagnostic, a structured prep plan, and at least one practice test before the real thing. Shorter timelines are workable — but the earlier you start, the more options you have.
